How do you fit a air conditioner in a horizontal sliding window?
Erin D asked:
I can get a free air conditioner meant for a window that slides up and down but my window slides back and forth horizontally. How can I block the rest of the window and secure the air conditioner so it doesn’t fall out? I live in a 2nd floor apartment so it needs to be secure otherwise it could possibly break or hurt someone. Thanks

Lancer Air Conditioner?
mgronholm0520 asked:
My father has a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ-Rally Edition, with about 100,000 miles. It has been very reliable, but recently there has been an issue with the air conditioning. On very hot days, the A/C will be ice cold for a little while, then just seem to kick off and blow warm air. If it is switched off for a while, then switched back on, it will work again, or it will resolve itself after awhile if left on. On cooler days, the A/C seems to work fine. Until this summer, the A/C on the car has been flawless and amazingly cold and consistent. What could be causing this? He already had it recharged and is going to wait until next year to do any major repairs on the system. The mechanic thinks that the compressor might be overheating and seizing up, causing it to not work until it has cooled off. I think that it could also be caused by ice forming on the evaporator and hoses, and then once the ice dissipates, the A/C can run normally again. I’ve seen this problem on some other cars and window air conditioners. Any help or opinions would be very helpful. Thanks.
